Pointed condylomas in women most often affect the small and large labia, the posterior lip adhesion; less often - the cervix and the walls of the vagina. Isolated lesions with these formations of the cervix and the external opening of the urethra are extremely rare. With anal and oral sex, the area of ​​the anus and oropharynx is affected.

Patients with this disease complain of pain sensations of an uncertain nature in the genital area and in the lower abdomen, as well as unpleasant sensations when urinating

Genital warts complications

- From constant friction about underwear, condylomas can fall off, and in their place extremely painful bleeding ulcers are formed

- In the absence of timely treatment, genital warts are prone to suppuration

- Lack of treatment leads to the formation of more and more warts. Sometimes it comes to the fact that in especially neglected cases in the genital area, the patient no longer sees a piece of healthy skin

- Due to the prolonged course of papillomavirus infection of the genitals, there is a sharp decrease in immunity, which entails the susceptibility of a person to any infectious disease. In case the patient already has any chronic inflammatory disease (especially the pelvic organs), it is necessarily aggravated

- There are known cases of onset genital warts of cancerous lesions

Genital Warts Treatment

Unfortunately, to date, there is no specific drug that can destroy the causative agent of papillomavirus infection of the genitals, as a result of which treatment is limited to immunocorrective therapy and local removal of genital warts. The effectiveness of most existing methods of treatment is within 70%, while the relapse rate exceeds 25%.

: Methods of treatment of genital warts :

. - Laser therapy . This method consists in the effect on the condyloma of a directed beam of laser beams, under the influence of which the tissue of condyloma evaporates and in its place remains a scab (dry crust). Seven days after laser therapy, recovery comes

. - Cryotherapy . This method of treatment consists in removing genital warts with liquid nitrogen. A small amount of this substance is applied to the condyloma by freezing it, exposing its protein content to destruction. After this procedure, condyloma soon disappears on its own, leaving behind a small wound, which usually heals in one to two weeks. This method is considered quite convenient and safe.
